Eleanor Roosevelt knit in public

PBS ran the Eleanor Roosevelt episode on American Experience. If she was sitting outside Valhalla or at a table next to FDR, she was knitting. I wonder where all those projects went?

She was allowed to knit on the plane

I'm watching for the 2009 Eleanor Roosevelt Knit-In:

Comments:
I think this was one way she could cope...es, I watched the same series and noticed the same thing :)

See this link regarding Eleanor Roosevelt and where all her knitting went. She did a lot more than just cope with her knitting. It amazes me that they did not mention her great contribution to the war effort or that of the thousands of other women who knit warm clothing and bandages for the war...that figures, but it could have been a whole show in itself.
